Born Screaming
Description
The story behind this fragrance
Born Screaming tears open with tart cherry and blackberry—bright, almost bruised fruit sharpened by a plastic bite that cuts through like vinyl wrapped tight around skin. As it settles, boronia and heliotrope bloom in a florid, slightly smoky nest, rose and mignonette whispering underneath, their sweetness tempered by datura's dark, almost medicinal edge. The base unfolds slowly: styrax turns honeyed and warm, castoreum brings a leathery, animalic depth, while myrrh adds a resinous grip. Freesia keeps one thread luminous and clean, yet patchouli and ambrette ground it all in earth and amber—a slow, lingering warmth that settles into skin like smoke and dried flowers.
