Girl of the Year

Girl of the Year opens with a sharp waxy bloom—lipstick, almost powdery—before dark incense smoke drifts through. The heart grows smoky and intimate, leather deepening as the incense thickens into something almost ceremonial. Beneath, sandalwood anchors everything, creamy and soft, while fur (that animalic, skin-warm quality) and orris root's violet-tinged earthiness rise up to meet the fading smoke, leaving a drydown that's equal parts powdered iris and smoldering wood.
