Velvet opens with a sharp camphor-and-smoke bite, almost medicinal, before mimosa's honeyed warmth softens the edges. Anise emerges in the heart, lending an herbal, slightly licorice-tinged sweetness that plays against dry cedar. The base settles into a creamy, skin-like musk from ambrette—what musk mallow brings—grounded by juniper's resinous bite, until only powdered musk and cool wood linger on skin.
