Description

The story behind this fragrance

Cafe Ambre Noir opens with a warm pour of dark rum and fresh coffee grounds, immediately grounding the senses in something lived-in and intimate. Spiced tobacco and rose emerge beneath, softened by tea and a resinous whisper of Cambodian oud, while the coffee lingers like steam. The base settles into a dense amber sweetness—tonka and Madagascar vanilla wrap around woody guaiac and earthy patchouli, joined by cacao's subtle bitter note and the animalic warmth of castoreum and ambergris. Beeswax and malt deepen the impression of something ancient and honeyed, while cade oil adds a smoky, almost medicinal edge. There's no artifice here, only the slow unfold of roasted, resinous comfort.
