Opal by Sonoma Scent Studio is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women and men. Opal was launched in 2006. The nose behind this fragrance is Laurie Erickson. The fragrance features Ambrette (Musk Mallow), Bergamot, Musk, Vanilla and Sandalwood. A comforting soft skin musk with notes of sandalwood, vanilla, musk, bergamot, and ambrette. Cozy, sweet but not not overly so, and comfy year-round. The sandalwood, musk, and vanilla work together to create a soothing base and the touch of bergamot adds freshness. Perfumer\'s Comments:: Many musk scents smell too synthetic to me, so it’s a challenge to create them. My favorite types are woodsy musks, and I’m currently working on a new one. Opal is a less woodsy, cozier type of musk, though it does have a touch of sandalwood. I’ve had people tell me Opal is their favorite scent for times when they need something that is “safe” to wear without bothering anyone around them because it’s a soft, quiet skin scent. Notes: sandalwood, vanilla, musk, bergamot, ambrette. The perfume was created by Laurie Erickson in 2006.
