Parfum De La Nuit No 1

Bergamot cuts sharp and bright at first, then Parfum De La Nuit No 1 settles into a dense, woody core where vetiver and guaiac wood anchor spiced warmth—clove and saffron glinting between papyrus's dry whisper and cedar's resinous spine. As the composition deepens, styrax and labdanum emerge with animalic richness, civet and castoreum adding shadow and skin-like intimacy, while tonka bean and vanilla sweeten the base into something almost creamy, supported by tolu balsam's bittersweet grip. Benzoin softens the edges until only warm vanilla and dry, resinous woody notes linger on skin.
