Nüwa

Nüwa opens with bright bergamot and lemon—sharp, almost citrine—before immortelle and ylang-ylang soften the air into honeyed floral warmth. Jasmine, rose, and osmanthus layer in, touched by the tart green of currant buds. The base arrives slow: oakmoss and birch root the composition in woody earth, while styrax and labdanum add resinous sweetness. Vetiver, cumin, and cloves weave through, grounded further by patchouli and orris root, with black pepper and ambergris lending a faint spice and animalic depth. What emerges is a fragrance neither wholly bright nor dark—sensual without heaviness, grounded without austerity.
