Oud

Saffron's dry, almost metallic spice cracks open the top, then styrax and balsam fir arrive—resinous and slightly medicinal, grounded by myrrh's amber warmth. Oud by Robert Piguet settles into a woody base where guaiac wood's smoke and leather undertones meet the dark, animalic whisper of agarwood, patchouli lending earth and a faint sweetness. What remains is incense-like and shadowed, creeping closer to skin as the oud deepens and wood smoke lingers longest.
