Classic Chypre

Green basil and galbanum crack open with a tart, almost herbal snap, yielding almost immediately to creamy ylang-ylang. The heart settles into warm spice—cloves and cardamom heat against vetiver's cool, rooty shadow, while jasmine softens the edges with its indolic sweetness. As it dries, moss and patchouli ground everything in earthy depth, vanilla threading through to add a subtle warmth that keeps the composition from turning austere, until only soft patchouli and moss remain, earthy and faintly sweet.
