Description
The story behind this fragrance
Statesman by Mirus Fine Fragrance is a Oriental Woody fragrance for men. Statesman was launched in 2015. The nose behind this fragrance is Neal Peters. Top notes are Lime, Bergamot, Cloves, Juniper and Orange; middle notes are Tolu Balsam, Cedar and Rose; base notes are Amber, Sandalwood, Agarwood (Oud), Tonka Bean and Patchouli. Statesman was released in 2015 as the debut fragrance from Mirus. Statesman is a woody oriental fragrance for men inspired by the combination of ruggedness and refinement possessed by the great men who have shaped history. Statesman opens with a burst of sharp woody, green notes and spice, a mixture of juniper and clove overlaid with lime and bergamot. Soon, the sharpness gives way to smooth, sweet wood, with hints of Himalayan cedar, New Caledonian sandalwood, Vietnamese oud and sweet amber balancing out the sharpness. Notes of rose, patchouli and exotic tree resins wind through the composition, highlighting the different aspects and lending depth to the composition.
