The story behind this fragrance
Mod Noir by Marc Jacobs is a Floral fragrance for women. Mod Noir was launched in 2015. The nose behind this fragrance is Jean Claude Delville. Top notes are Green Notes, Yuzu and Clementine; middle notes are Gardenia, Water Lily, Tuberose and Magnolia; base notes are Nectarine, Orange Blossom and Musk. Designer Marc Jacobs, inspired by the 60s fashion called "Mod" and black and white stripes, launches his new fragrance in 2015 called Mod Noir. Because he had successfully launched his makeup line in collaboration with Sephora, this new fragrance will be a Sephora exclusive. The new perfume is created in a chic, modern, bold and unique spirit; playing a parallel between classic simplicity and contemporary sophistication. Mod Noir is an airy gardenia scent (the favorite flower of the designer) developed by Jean-Claude Delville. Its floral-musky composition opens with dewy greens that are enhanced with citrusy nuances of clementine and yuzu. The heart captures fresh gardenia petals enhanced with white flowers such as magnolia, water lily and tuberose. The base reveals notes of creamy musk, sensual and long-lasting, and an unusual combination of orange blossom and nectarine that leave a delicate floral-fruity trail. he bottle and the packaging is designed by Established company from New York, with graphic black and white stripes. The lacquered surface of the bottle makes the contrast with opaque glass that reveals the fluid. The stopper is large and round. The fragrance is available as 10, 30 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum.
