Tendre est la Nuit opens with a warm, almost edible sweetness—ambrette's musty-floral musk mixing with immortelle's maple-like amber and the woody-spiced lift of cabreuva and carrot seeds. The heart pivots to something greener and more peppery, artemisia's bitter herbs threading through Sichuan pepper's numbing tingle and benzoin's resinous warmth. As night deepens, the base emerges rich and animalic: oakmoss and leather darken the skin while castoreum adds a faint animalic whisper, patchouli and labdanum create a dense, almost creamy foundation, and incense smoke drifts across it all, woody and contemplative. The drydown settles into leather, smoke, and resinous earth.
