Lys Sølaberg opens with the briney funk of wine lees and bright quince, bergamot cutting through with citrus snap while carrot seeds add a dry, almost medicinal earthiness. The heart softens into creamy iris and lily, threaded with calamus's spicy sweetness and the muted warmth of dried fruits—apricot, fig. What unfolds beneath is dense and anchored: oakmoss and guaiac wood meet tobacco smoke and cedar, while ambroxan lends a powdery amber glow. Patchouli, labdanum, and a whisper of mate ground everything in herbal, slightly woody amber. Smoke drifts through the finish like incense in an old library.
