Rumeur (original) by Lanvin is a Chypre Fruity fragrance for women. Rumeur (original) was launched in 1934. The nose behind this fragrance is Andre Fraysse. Top notes are Aldehydes, Plum, Bergamot and Peach; middle notes are Jasmine, Floral Notes, Cloves, Nutmeg and Cardamom; base notes are Leather, Oakmoss, Civet, Green Notes, Patchouli, Tobacco, Vetiver, Sandalwood and Vanilla. Rumeur Lanvin was launched in 1934, discontinued in 1971, re-launched in 1979 and again shut-down in 1982. In 2006, the eponymous fragrance in a completely different interpretation was presented with new composition and new bottle. The original was described as a chypre - fruity. Top notes include aldehydes, bergamot, peach and plum. The heart includes flowers, jasmine, clove, cardamom and nutmeg, based on civet, leather, tobacco, patchouli, green leaves, vanilla, sandalwood, oak moss and vetiver.
