Rumeur opens with fuzzy stone fruit—peach and plum softened by a whisper of aldehydes and bergamot's brightness—before warming into spiced florals: nutmeg and cloves darkening jasmine's bloom. The heart settles into a rich, earthy base where oakmoss and vetiver ground tobacco's smoke and leather's subtle rasp, while vanilla and sandalwood offer creamy counterpoint.
