Magie Noire

Magie Noire opens with a tart, green-edged burst—galbanum and bergamot cut through cassis and raspberry, their tartness shadowed by hyacinth's cool, almost medicinal bloom. The heart dissolves into something honeyed and white: tuberose and jasmine rise warm against lily-of-the-valley's delicate green, while orris root adds a powdery iris undertone. As it settles, the composition darkens—oakmoss and vetiver ground the sweetness, myrrh and incense bring smoke and resin, and civet lends a creamy, animalic warmth. Patchouli and sandalwood anchor the base with earth and wood, spices lingering as a whisper through the drydown.
