The Virgin Suicides opens with a sharp, slightly soapy burst—violet and aldehydes cutting through with crisp geranium—before softening into a creamy, almost powdery heart. Siam benzoin and tonka bean wrap around delicate iris and lily-of-the-valley, their greenness touching something floral and tender. As it settles, sandalwood and cedar ground the composition while musk and vanilla create a skin-close warmth; patchouli and myrrh add weight and shadow, with incense lending a contemplative, almost devotional quality to the dry-down.
