The story behind this fragrance
Bakír Cologne by Germaine Monteil is a Oriental fragrance for women and men. Bakír Cologne was launched in 1975. Top notes are Spices, Labdanum, Raspberry, Aldehydes, Bergamot, Fruity Notes, Narcissus, Galbanum, Petitgrain, Citruses and Orange; middle notes are Carnation, Rose, Cloves, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Heliotrope, Geranium, Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Ylang-Ylang, Lavender and Pimento; base notes are Myrrh, Benzoin, Patchouli, Cedar, Incense, Ambergris, Oakmoss, Sandalwood and Musk. "Bakir is an oriental wonder with a rich tapestry of golds, reds and russets. The citrusy-spicy-aldehydic top notes are an explosion of ripe brightness that slowly darkens into the carmine velvet of the floral heart, in which the creaminess of rose and ylang-ylang are juxtaposed with the fiery piquancy of carnation enhanced by cloves. Darker still is the ambery, incensey, earthy base, where myrrh, amber and bezoin continue the theme of languid softness, while moss and ptachouli play for the opposite team, enhancing the sharper, spicier side of Bakir. The exuberant richness of colors brings a touch of wistful elegance to Bakir’s unabashed decadance." - a note from the brand.
