Description
The story behind this fragrance
Mémoire Chérie by Elizabeth Arden is a Floral fragrance for women. Mémoire Chérie was launched in 1949. Top notes are Sicilian Bergamot, Apricot and Neroli; middle notes are Chamomile, Tarragon, Opoponax, Violet, Honey and Rose; base notes are Haitian Vetiver, Oakmoss, Amber and Musk. Mémoire Chérie is a remarkable and highly original fragrance with rich, subdued sweetness and dry, honeyed autumnal voluptuousness. The scent is both full-bodied and translucent, featuring a hint of pepper in the background and an impression of honey-drenched carnation and clove notes at its center. The dryness results from the harmonious blend of chamomile, tarragon, violet, and apricot, while the richness at the center comes from opoponax with its sweet, honeyed, vanillic, myrrh-like character. Described as a cool floral with green undertones, this sophisticated fragrance was awarded the grand Coupe D'Or in 1960 as the finest fragrance ever created and acclaimed in France.
