Leather opens sharp and smoky, cut through with saffron's peppery bite and a clean aldehydic crispness—brittle, almost architectural. As it settles, styrax softens the edges into warm resin while lilac and hawthorn bloom with a delicate, slightly green floral transparency. The base arrives grainy and adhesive, where brown scotch tape and industrial glue create an unexpected earthiness, almost musty and dry, grounded in styrax and musk. Comme des Garcons 2011 feels like inhaling a well-worn workshop: tactile, raw, strangely intimate.
