Hermit Coat opens with bright heliotrope and resinous elemi before a charred ash note pulls the scent inward, grounding it. The heart softens into olibanum and balsam fir, a cooler green-amber core touched by rose's quiet sweetness. As it settles, amber and musk emerge alongside smoke—not acrid or culinary, but the ghost of something smoldered, held close. Ambroxan adds an almost transparent warmth that lets the smoke linger on skin like fabric that's absorbed woodsmoke over time.
