Poivre opens with a sharp, almost stinging bite—red pepper and carnation colliding with clove and spice, peppery heat radiating from the first spray. The initial burn softens as tuberose and jasmine bloom in the heart, their creamy florality tempered by clove's persistent warmth and geranium's green spice. Rose and ylang-ylang deepen the floral bed without sweetening it. As it settles, oakmoss and vetiver ground the composition in dry, mossy earth while sandalwood and opoponax add resinous sweetness beneath, leaving pepper's ghost and woody shadow clinging to skin.
