Nocturnes de Caron opens with a bright, almost brittle shimmer—orange and aldehydes strike first, their metallic fizz softened by rose tincture and neroli's green-bitter bloom. As the top notes dissolve, tuberose emerges heavy and creamy, weaving with ylang-ylang's tropical thickness and jasmine's cool, almost powdery whisper. The florals build into something dense and hypnotic, then slowly the base reveals itself: musk warming the skin, sandalwood adding a pale, woody sweetness, and vetiver's earthy, slightly animalic pull grounding everything into a soft shadow. What remains is creamy musk and sandalwood, dry and intimate against the skin.
