Baudelaire opens with the sharp bite of juniper and caraway—herbaceous, almost bracing—punctuated by pepper's heat. The leather emerges quickly, turning soft and tactile beneath a delicate floral brush of hyacinth, while incense smoke drifts through, adding an austere, meditative quality. As the composition settles, amber and patchouli ground the scent in warm earthiness, and papyrus brings a papery, almost archaeological dryness that lingers long after the florals fade.
