Absinthe opens sharp and herbal, that distinctive bitter-green bite familiar from the spirit itself, immediately cooled by violet leaf's slightly peppery whisper. L'Heure Verte settles into anise-tinged sweetness—licorice threading through the violet—before the base emerges: vetiver's dry, almost mineral earthiness grounds everything, while sandalwood and patchouli add warmth and subtle spice. The woody structure underneath keeps the whole composition tethered to soil rather than sky, the herbal brightness slowly fading until only vetiver's cool, rooted dryness and soft patchouli remain.
