Hero opens with ylang-ylang's honeyed warmth cut by sharp coffee and tart rhubarb, hazelnut lending a soft, nutty roundness while saffron adds dry spice. The heart blooms into tobacco and rose—smoky, slightly leathery—anchored by tonka's creamy sweetness and sandalwood's cool grain. Patchouli deepens the base into earthy leather as oud and benzoin emerge, resinous and amber-dark, with fir resin and guaiac wood building a woody, almost medicinal density that slowly mellows into warm, resinous wood touched by the mineral green of cypriol.
