Tabac Libre opens with a sharp burn—cognac and coffee lifting off dark tobacco leaf, cardamom and rum warming the edges, saffron threading through like smoke. The heart softens into floral earth: carnation and violet bloom alongside hay and heliotrope, while plum and raspberry add a faint sweetness that keeps the tobacco from turning austere. As it settles, oakmoss and sandalwood anchor the base, tonka bean adding vanilla warmth, castoreum and mushroom lending an animalic, leathery depth. Patchouli and cedar ground everything in soil and wood, opoponax resin binding it all into something that feels lived-in—aged, earthy, unapologetically raw.
