Lineage

Lineage opens with sharp, almost electric pepper—Peruvian and Sichuan layered with ginger's warmth and saffron's dusty gold—a spice that prickles and lifts. The heart settles into resinous olibanum and myrrh, darkened by fenugreek's maple-like depth, creating something simultaneously smoky and sacred. As the composition rests, vetiver rises to ground the incense, while benzoin and labdanum swell underneath, sticky and amber-sweet. The drydown is a slow dissolution of resin into patchouli's earthy undertone, myrrh fading last—warm, faintly medicinal, clinging like temple smoke long cooled on fabric.
