Aurea opens with a bright citrus spray—pomelo and mandarin cut with bergamot and lemon—tempered by the cool green hiss of seaweed and the delicate powder of water lily. White tea threads through, grounding the opening in something almost herbal. As it settles, pomelo recedes and cypress emerges, dusted with nutmeg and cardamom; parma violet lends a soft, powdery sweetness while tarragon adds an unexpected savory green whisper. Jasmine and melon bloom softly alongside sage. The drydown grows warm and woody—amber and sandalwood rise, tonka's creamy vanilla wraps around vetiver's dry root-cellar earth, while iris and patchouli deepen the base into something quietly earthy and intimate.
