"Inspired by the perfumes of the past, Ginger Rose is a lush, aldehydic floriental with a spicy rose heart. For the first fragrance in my Vintage Series, I wanted—while still working within my own creative style—to create a scent that captures the feel of perfumes from the 1940’s-1950. I thought about movie stars from the era and what they might have worn. I also smelled many vintage examples of perfume from the period (the research was just as enjoyable as the design) before creating this fragrance homage to another era. The perfume took on a personality as it came together. I could see her in my mind’s eye: Miss Ginger Rose, an up-and- coming new starlet; or maybe a beautiful debutante, the darling of the society page.
