Oeillet Bengale opens with a warm volley of cloves and cardamom, threaded through with black pepper and turmeric's earthy bite. Cinnamon and saffron deepen the spice—dense, almost medicinal. As it settles, rose emerges beneath the white pepper's sharp clarity, joined by a bright strawberry note that cuts against the spiced warmth rather than sweetening it. The base arrives slowly: tolu balsam and labdanum build a resinous amber-brown foundation, vanilla softening the edges while benzoin adds a subtle powdery sweetness. The drydown leaves spiced amber and creamy vanilla lingering, the rose fading to a whisper against warm, balsamic skin.
