The House of Pal Zileri
Pal Zileri composes across a woody-grounded foundation layered with bright citrus accents and warm oriental undertones, a restless interplay between sharpness and depth. Over its span from 2002 to 2013, the house tilted consistently toward woody character—cedar, vetiver, and amber resins—while citrus cuts carved clean lines through the compositions, preventing them from settling into sweetness alone. Oriental warmth threads through as a baser pulse, softening edges without drowning them. The result reads as neither purely classical nor aggressively modern, but caught in the tension between crisp brightness and the slow burn of wood and resin underfoot.
