Chipmunk opens with a sharp snap of nutmeg and pink pepper, blood mandarin's dark citrus threading beneath cardamom's warmth. The spice softens into earthy terrain—hazelnut and balsam fir create a forest floor impression, chamomile adding quietness—before vetiver and guaiac wood root everything downward. Animal musks and opoponax lend an animalic intimacy that feels lived-in, almost tactile, while benzoin sweetens the edges of cedar and patchouli settling into skin. Warm, ground-hugging, decidedly unglamorous.
