Notting Hill Carnival opens bright and sharp—lime and bergamot crackling like street-vendor calls—before pink pepper and ginger arrive with a warm, peppery snap. Bay leaf and coriander add an herbal earthiness, a grounding spice that shifts the mood from celebration to something more intimate and textured. French labdanum then emerges, sticky and amber-dark, meeting leather and incense in the base—smoke curling around worn hide, resinous and almost ceremonial.
