Mea Culpa opens with stark, smoky incense and a mineral dryness—like standing in a temple at dusk, dust suspended in fading light. Birch and cedar emerge beneath, their woody resin grounding the fragrance as patchouli adds a leather-tinged earthiness. Powdery notes soften the edges, catching light like talc on skin. As it settles, benzoin and vanilla wrap around a musky base, warm and almost creamy, the initial austerity giving way to something intimate and forgiving.
