Description
The story behind this fragrance
Inquisitor by Solstice Scents is a fragrance for women and men. Inquisitor was launched in 2019. The nose behind this fragrance is Angela St. John. The fragrance features Leather, Smoke, Fire, Beeswax, Palo Santo, Amber, Myrrh, Olibanum, Sandalwood, Agarwood (Oud), Benzoin, Palisander Rosewood, Vetiver and Patchouli. Slightly reformulated 2019. This is a very sinister amber blend. A heavy, dry, resinous amber blend base with leather, beeswax, benzoin, frankincense, palo santo, smoke, and fire. Inquisitor opens with a whip of black leather, amber, fire, and palo santo. Give it a few minutes as the sting of leather recedes and hot melted beeswax and benzoin emerges and sweetens the deep resins and amber. A sweet tendril of woodsmoke curls around the frankincense. The body heat seems to ignite a fizzy effervescence in the perfume as well. The dry down is a sweet, dry, dusty amber with the beeswax and benzoin still present and a bit of smoke. Inquisitor contains nominal amounts of myrrh, vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood, oud, and rosewood as supporting notes but the aforementioned listed notes are the key players. (from the brand's website)
