Description

The story behind this fragrance

Desert Flower by Shulton Company is a Oriental Floral fragrance for women. Desert Flower was launched in 1947. Top notes are Aldehydes and Bergamot; middle notes are Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang; base notes are Vanilla, Oakmoss, Musk, Benzoin, Cedar, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Ambergris and Orris. Desert Flower by Shulton was also sold under the name Leigh. Salvador Dali created three paintings commissioned by the Shulton Company to market the perfume Desert Flower in 1947. These three beautiful paintings still remain some of his lesser known works. They served as a metaphor for passion and incorporated the Venus and Apollo from Greek mythology.
