Description
The story behind this fragrance
Malbec Gran Reserva (2008) by O Boticário is a Woody Aromatic fragrance for men. Malbec Gran Reserva (2008) was launched in 2008. The nose behind this fragrance is Napoleão Bastos. Top notes are Mandarin, Bergamot, Cassis, Palestinian Sweet Lime, Violet Leaf, Lemon, Cardamom, Pepper and Cedar Leaves; middle notes are Virginia Cedar, Fruits, Licorice, Red Wine and Patchouli; base notes are Musk, Moss, Amber, Benzoin and Cacao. Created by perfumer Napoleão Bastos, Malbec Gran Reserva has an exclusive, sophisticated, captivating and intense fragrance. "More than a limited edition, the new Malbec has undergone a true alchemy of the senses. It sharpens vision, touch and provokes the sense of smell in a unique way", says the perfumer. Malbec Gran Reserva is made with extra wine alcohol macerated for four years in French oak barrels, the same ones used to make the finest wines. "Since the launch of Malbec, we have reserved some barrels to macerate 'the heart' of this new fragrance. This process enhances the rich woody notes and brings out a light touch of tobacco and cocoa", explains Tatiana Ponce, Boticário's National Market and Consumer Manager. The bottle of Malbec Gran Reserva, an offshoot of Malbec launched in 2004, is also a work of art. Contemporary and elegant, it was designed by Frenchman Alain de Mourgues and features a mix of straight and rounded lines that provide ergonomic use. The transparent wine-colored lid with carved metal details adds to the product's sophistication.
