Arete by Gritti is a Leather fragrance for women and men. Arete was launched in 2015. Top notes are Labdanum, Cinnamon, Cardamom and Bergamot; middle notes are Leather and Whiskey; base notes are Guaiac Wood, Patchouli, Styrax, Sandalwood, Vanilla, Ambroxan, Haitian Vetiver and Musk. In Celsus Library a statue is dedicated to Arete i.e. Virtue Goddess. A symbol so important for humanity. Arete is not only moral virtue. In some contexts, Arete is explicitly linked with human knowledge, where the expressions "virtue is knowledge". The highest human potential is knowledge and all other human abilities are derived from this central capacity. The perfume is limpid at the beginning to symbolize femininity, but notes like leather and whisky in the heart, highlight the symbolism of the depth.
