Matsu by DSH Perfumes is a Woody Aromatic fragrance for women and men. Matsu was launched in 2013. The nose behind this fragrance is Dawn Spencer Hurwitz. The fragrance features Hinoki Wood, Bergamot, Iso E Super, Citruses, Australian Sandalwood, Green Leaves, Woody Notes, Musk, Guaiac Wood, Brazilian Rosewood and Water Lily. "Matsu is '[pine] tree' in Japanese but can also mean 'wait' (which seems so right for me just now). It is meant to evoke the sensation of being in a forest and smelling and feeling the air around you—all green and crisp and refreshing. The main notes are bergamot, sandalwood and a pretty big dose of iso e super. (This is the first scent that I have really used the iso e super to dominate). There is also cedarwood, and leafy green notes along with a green sap accord.
