Henning Biehl blends contrasts into a fabulous unity. This graduate chemist commenced his career as a perfumer in 1958, his years with the Schimmel company in Hamburg being followed by the post with H&R in Holzminden. Several longer sojourns abroad ensued from the mid-seventies, in Cannes, Paris, New York, Tokyo and London. Since 1991, Henning Biehl has lived and worked in New York. Harmony is the theme of the perfumes he has created. The quest for this is also reflected in his private preferences, with Classical music being this flautist’s greatest passion. Apart from music, he derives his main inspiration from the elaborate garden of rare flowers and plants he has created.
