Wormwood opens with a sharp, almost medicinal bite before Sicilian bergamot pushes through—bright, slightly bitter citrus threading with coriander's warm spice. The heart settles into herbal territory: cypress and sage create an almost forest-like dryness, fig adding a softer, almost creamy sweetness that softens the green. As it develops, vetiver roots the base in earthy stability, nutmeg and caraway dusting the skin with kitchen spice, while leather and patchouli build a darker, slightly rough texture underneath. Resins knit everything together, warm and resinous, until leather and vetiver dominate—dry, mineral, faintly smoky against the drydown.
