Opus XIII – Silver Oud
Description
The story behind this fragrance
Virginia cedar and cypriol oil open with a sharp, dry resin—like inhaling the interior of an old wooden box. Patchouli grounds the top with earthen warmth before Madagascar vanilla emerges in the heart, softening into creamy, almost powdery sweetness against the smoky depth of agarwood. The oud never dominates; instead it threads through as a dark, honeyed undertone. As the fragrance settles, birch and guaiac wood add a faintly smoky, almost medicinal edge, while castoreum introduces an animalic shadow that deepens the amber's dry, resinous base, leaving warmth and whispered smoke.
