The House of Prescriptives
Prescriptives built its small catalog across two decades on a tension between floral softness and gourmand warmth. Four fragrances spanning 1987 to 2009 trace a house drawn to flowers sharpened by vanilla, caramel, and amber—compositions that blur the line between skin-close florals and dessert-like comfort. The work suggests a cosmetics-rooted sensibility, each scent calibrated as if it were a precise ingredient rather than a grand statement. What emerges is restraint softened by indulgence: petals meeting brown sugar, florals that know when to lean sweet.
