The Heritage
The House of Max Factor
Across three decades of composition, Max Factor traced a woody spine through nine fragrances—earthy, resinous, anchored. Florals rose and fell against that foundation, sometimes tender, sometimes dense with green. Chypre threads wove through the catalog, adding dry, mossy complexity to the warmth. Between 1956 and 1986, the house moved through phases of floral prominence and woody restraint, building a body of work rooted in autumnal, structurally clear scents rather than whispered ephemera.
