The House of Evyan
Evyan's eighteen-year catalog traces a floral-first vision, layered with warm oriental undertones and occasional bright fresh accents. Across eight compositions spanning 1943 to 1961, the house gravitates toward rounded, feminine florals—gardenias, roses, lilacs—often deepened by amber, vanilla, and resinous woods. Fresh notes surface as counterpoint, never dominance. The result is a body of work rooted in postwar elegance: opulent and soft, never sharp, with the character of powdered skin and creamy petals warmed against resin and skin musk.
