The House of Calypso Christiane Celle
Calypso Christiane Celle built a restless catalog across seven fragrances—floral at its core, brightened by citrus, grounded in wood. From 1998 to 2004, the house moved between luminous white florals cut with bergamot and lemon, then deeper into amber-tinged blooms over cedar and sandalwood. There's a tension running through the work: brightness colliding with warmth, petals refusing to stay weightless. The compositions cluster around that friction—neither purely fresh nor purely resinous, but caught between them, florals that edge toward spice and wood that refuses to anchor alone.
